Excalibur 2 in mineralize ground

Has anyone used an excalibur 2 in mineralize soil.I am heading to VA in a week to detect and was hoping this machine will work.I was down there last week and I was using a White's v3.I didn't do so good. dug nails for 3 days.I'm detecting in fields but was told this machine is good for both land and water. Will the excal get depth in that kind of soil.thanks for your help

There are parts of Virginia that only a PI will get you any kind of depth. But look at it this way. If the BBS of the Excalibur fails to punch into the ground nothing else will. That includes FBS machines.

I saw a video from Bill Ladd. Where him and his friends went to Virginia relic hunting. One of them used an Excaliber II 1000 but he didn't do as good as Bill or the other guy! Bill was using a Fisher F75 I believe and the other guy was using a tesoro Silver Sabre I think? I know other people that go there they use a White's TDI or a Minelab GPX 5000.
