:wiggle:I'm WAITING FOR MY EXCAL 2 IT WILL BE HERE OM MONDAY,CAN I USE IT ON LAND,I WAS READING THE YOU COULD USE IT IN THE PIN POINT SETTING IS THIS TRUE,IF NOT
IM LOOKING AT THE GT ARE THE SE,CAN ANY BODY TELL ME IF THE EXPLORER IS AS GOOD AS THE SE?

The SE is a model of Explorer and the Excalibur is basicly, a waterproofed Sovereign.

Yes, you can use it on land, either in the Disc or PP modes. However, it is a bit heavy for land use. HH Joe

I use it on land and water but mine is hip mounted so there is hardly no weight while swinging it on land.

if your using in pinpoint your hunting in all metal, just be ready to dig every nail, hair pin,and every bits of small iron. Why dont you just hunt by tones?
,

IM NEW TO THE EXCAL 2 ,WASENT SURE ABOUT THE LAND USE,I THINK IM GOING TO GET MINE LAB SE OR GT

AFTER SWING A GARRETT 10/14 POWER DD THE EXCAL IS LIGHT!!!!!!!!

I just got my new Excal II and I don't hear any difference in tones. I also have a Explorer SE and I can definitly hear the difference in tones. Do I have it set right? I have the volume in the middle the threshold just audible and the sens is at 5 and the disc is set to 2. When I go over gold ring or penny it sounds the same to me?

Make sure that you have the Disc/pinpoint knob in disc and not pinpoint. If it is in pinpoint mode, you will get a single tone for all metals.
