Excalibur 1000 (the old one) Battery Charging

Darrell

New member
Hi Guys,

I stumbled over my Excalibur 1000 the other day. I must be getting senile because I can't remember how to recharge it. I have the charger that has 1 prong. Seems like there was a piece that attached to it that had 2 prongs. Those 2 prongs fit into the battery.

Am I remembering this correctly? If so, where would I buy the 2 prong attachment? If I can get it to work, it would help me pay for the CX 3030. I just bought.

Thanks for your help,
Darrell

Yeah, there is an adapter that fits in between that looks like the one on the pod. Unfortunately, they are really expensive to replace (I've seen them sell for $75 ). I don't use one anymore, instead I have a Imax B6 charger and just push two pins into the +/- ports.

Hi, if you can't find the missing adapter that connects the battery to the transformer it is nearly as cheep to just buy a battery pod that takes A A batteries. You just pack it each time you wanna hunt, the pack lasts for about 10 hours, then you just replace the AA batteries and you're good to go again. They cost about $50. You could then sell your rechargeable battery pod. You can't use rechargeable AA batteries in the AA battery pod, only new ones. Good luck water wizard

Why cant you use rechargeables in the battery pod? Cant because of the 1.5 dcv..... there are rechargeable that produce that voltage. Id think there would be a way to split the wires, properly IDing pos/neg, and attach some sort of prongs that would fit right in the two holes.

I'm working on a tutorial to use a cheap Airsoft battery pack as a replacement for the alkaline battery holder in the pod , making it into a NiMH pod, but I havent quite finished yet
The replacement 1500 mAh NiMH battery conversion costs about
