thinking of buying a sword, notice on ebay they are a lot cheaper than the other excalibers.
is there a good reason.i have a minelab se but don't want to take it in the salt water

A very Hot machine with the 8" coil, Most stay away from the purchase because they are no longer repaired by minelabs, and this would be only if parts are not available...from what I have read. The good is several parts from the newer can be used, coil, headphones. the Pod is a different size along with the mainboard/PCB. So anything contained or a part of can no longer be fixed. The O'rings are a different size but one can find near and can be replaced. My suggestion if your going in the water a occasional dip is fine, It would make a great wet sand to knee deep detector...I got one a few years ago for 500.oo So the price now maybe a little higher. If you can get it for around 550...and hunt as said...a good price. Many still say they are the Ticket...I have yet to take mine out..I hung it on the wall....A Classic
