EXCALIBER II VS VX3

I really like working the beaches but wouldn't mind doing some parks locally. If I had to purchase one machines which would be the better choice?
Or am I missing another option to choose from?
Thanks!

Since you are always taking a chance around salty water.... the safe choice is the Xcal. Thou it might not be as sensitive or deep as the VX3 it is the popular choice for water hunting and is water proof. You never have to open a battery box and its simple to use. For me if you can only hunt wet/dry sand is just as soon use a Sov. since you are digging about every thing but iron and shallow bottle caps. The Xcal and Sov really dislike iron. Also they have very good tones and ive never used a better nickel machine.

I have the Fisher CZ-21 for in the water and use the CTX 3030 for dry/wet sand and coin/relic hunting. I love my CTX!
