I was wondering how is the weight and balance of this machine with the 8'' coil? Any use it to coin hunt as heard it is same to a meterless Sovereign? Also are they the same as the new ones being made? Thanks.

My hunting buddy uses the Xcal 800 blue. Thats coils like 7 1/2" but he thinks it more sensitive to smaller gold and he doesnt believe he looses much if any depth down here. I know another guy who uses it for small chain hunting along the surf line. He switched from a WOT and said he never realized how good a small coil was.
