Excaliber 2 For Land Hunting??

Posted this on the Excal forum as well. I noticed in the Excaliber 2 manual they describe the machine as a dry land machine as well. Hard to believe. Don't think I'll try it, just wondering if anyone has ever tried the Escaliber 2 on dry land, not dry beach?? Is it productive? Des Curran

I've used both my Excalibur II and my original model on land to hunt for coins and relics. It's really no different than using a Sovereign except you don't have a meter.

I have gotten so use to hunting with my excal that I have started using it relic hunting on dry land when not looking for iron objects. It is so sweet, and I have found many bullets, buttons, coins, and other old objects with it. Now would I use it in a park, or a trashy area? No, but in fields and remote areas it is my choice detector, even though I own a sov. I find the excal hip mount to be easier to use.
