Excal w/8in coil...What kind of Air Test Depth do you get on a 25 cent coin....Thanks.

I don't think air testing will show anything in one setting. It will change by adjusting your sensitivity, place a nickle on the ground, adjust sensitivity to diff settings you will see a diff. my setting on my excal is around 10 oclock for fresh water. little diff for salt. run my threshold til I barely hear it, vol wide open.That's just my opinion Hope it helps. I feel it's more important to adjust detector to the smallest piece of gold you can and dig everything. Don CoCo tyler
 
The Excal and Sovereign are lousy at air testing. This test has nothing to do with their performance. Especially on the beach.
