Excal users sound off do you dig nulls or don't dig nulls

I do not. If I wanted to dig nulls I would hunt with a PI detector. When the GT says Iron I move on. If I miss a keeper ( gold or plat. because nothing else matters ) so be it. I could swing a lighter detector and go deeper with the ability to identify certain iron targets with a PI. I have discrimination for a reason. To use it.

well in bad minerals a good target will null and not break thru so on a clean beach dont but if you have badd ground do dig them

no ,generally i dont dig nulls...however if i am at a colonial site where i know there are deep coins and buttons or when at a well hunted beach with few targets left to find i will work that null at different angles and swing speeds in hopes of getting it to sound off.....every once in a while i can get a null to become a repeatable signal and sometimes get a coin or piece of jewelry for my effort....dont forget that even good targets can null if too close to iron..the trick is to be able to read thru that null if possible.......

I'll dig all nulls that have any amount of a chirp or crackle with the null. I've found quite a few things that were great targets doing that.

Im new but dont.... however i do try to size those targets and check them on occassion by removing a small amount of sand.

Very well said!

Sometimes! You'll all be surprise if you do dig some of them! Learn what the machine is telling you. Learn what the machine can't tell you. You will be rewarded. Turn on and go is a marketing ploy!
