Excal straight shaft?

Steelhead

Member
I'm fairly new to beach hunting and recently purchased an Excalibur. I just made my own straight shaft for a minelab excalibur and wanted to know how you secure the lower shaft to the upper shaft. I have the pin locked in place but there is still some play where the shafts connect. Does anyone know of a remedy for this problem?? The factory upper shaft has a piece that you rotate to tighten down on the lower shaft for no flex or play. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a million!
