Excal stock shaft extension

I have been looking at straight shafts for the Excal and I just noticed that Plugger makes an extension for the stock shaft that would allow a behind the elbow mount. Does anyone have any experience with this set up?

I don't know about an "EXTENSION" but he does make a whole new shaft that mounts the pod behinde the elbow. I have 2 of them one for the Excal and one for the Sov GT and love them.

I have 2 also, great, i also got the chest mount that works on both the Sov and excalibur, that together with the straight rod is super light

I was planning to order a straight shaft when I noticed the stock Excal s-shaft extension for $25. It seems to me that the stock s-shaft with the battery/detector mounted behind the elbow with the extension, might result in torque fatigue as the coil and detector/battery would not be on the same plane as they would with the straight shaft. Both Anderson and Plugger offer the stock shaft extensions, but I guess I will order the two piece Plugger straight shaft instead.
