Excal NiMH pod question

Spungehead

New member
Anyone know how much Minelab charges for the cap, i.e., the top of the battery pod with the female Ikelite
end on the outside, and the 9V connector on the inside, that connects to the actual pack?..or if they even
sell that separately? The one for my alkaline pod has several hairline cracks in it....not sure if I cranked
down too hard one time too many, or it's possible that it got dropped. It's still water tight, but I'd sure
like to replace it.
Thanks,
Andy in NW FL

p.s. is the detector industry ever gonna move to Lithium-ion stuff? Would it really add that much to the
price? It's already old news, really. I've been using Li-ion batteries from other industries for nearly ten years......

I will call em after vegas wakes up.......Probably only sell the whole pod,,but I will ask,,,Got a whole one under the counter,,,One thing I like about xcal,,,,If it leaks I aint gonna hurt any lectronic goodies,,,charlie

Yep, it's me, Charlie...when the board upgraded, I ended up with the board name having to match the registered name.....so no more "Andy in NW FL" in the post header. Thanks for whatever you find out from the Vegas boys!

Thanks, Max.....actually, my Ikelite connector is fine. It's the clear cap it's set in that has the hairline
cracks, so I'm sure that'd probably have to be purchased from Minelab. Still, it was nice to see that
diagram, and know that I could pretty much swap batteries underwater, if need be.
