Excal loose knobs

New member
I have a Minelab Excalibur which have slip on knobs which spin loosely. I have tried to glue the knobs in place with no luck. I have tried locating knobs which are about the same size which have Pem nuts. Has anyone had problems with these knobs? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dale in Santa Cruz, Ca.

Radio Shack has the knobs you need and Surfscanner Detectors had a lightweight guard to protect the knob section.
Re your other question by answer didn't come up for some reason. What I suggested was asking Whites if they still stock the vibrator pad that they used with their old underwater machines. Fully waterproof and I think you should be able to I.D. tones.

If and when you send your detector to minelab for a service, get them to fit the new splined knob shafts. You will never experience knob slip again
