I am wondering if there is a better/same after market battery that I can use as a back up to the Manufacturer's supplied battery?
Sometimes after being in fresh water for a couple, up to five hours at a time, I have to keep adjusting my sens and threshold to keep the unit running smoothly and I'm wondering if it's the battery, the direction I'm heading, the change on the bottom of the lakes, or the unit itself and the way it's quirkiness runs from time to time??? Sometimes this unit hums to perfection and I know I'm hearing every target that's in the water that isn't being discriminated, and just as quickly, I feel I'm missing everything under the water....just me, or do you have to keep adjusting those two knobs also???
I am having sensational luck with this unit and am totally thrilled with all the finds, just trying to keep it running that way at all times..
)
Rocky!
P.S. I run my disc @ 1, Sensitivity between 11 and 1 0'clock, volume between half and 3/4, and threshold 1/2 to 3/4 depending on the amount of clarity I get on the bottom of the fresh water lakes.... (sand, clay, rocks, and packed misc fresh water shells)
