I tell ya, that Excal II is a mean machine. Found this Silver ring with a 14K gold cross attached at about 14 inches in all metal, It was under the sand a long time, it took some doin' to clean it up. It looks custom made, and also a nice Silver earring with zircons at about 8 inches, both in the wet sand. And $6.60.00 in change. Gene

Nice Gene....I have an Excal II for about 8mo now and i cant say enough good things about it. I myself found 3 rings today one was silver others junk, but i was wondering how did you get the ring so clean? I have a few that are real dirty looking....Thanks

I soak the silver rings in tarn-x for 10 minutes, then I put them in a vibrating machine with stainless steel odd shaped shot for 1 hour or so.
