Excal II sensitivity

Hi guy's

well, as much as i love this machine, i am NOT getting good results, finding coins is ok but the gold is escaping me
I have spent around

Sometimes that is the way it is however I would hunt in Disc rather than PP so you will use the whole diameter of your coil

The key to successful beach hunting is timing. You need to be at the beach when it changes due to weather conditions. The law of averages says your beach has gold. You are using one of the best detectors to find it. Which means that the gold is out of reach. Save your petrol money for coastal storms. Or at least until there is a big tidal swing. A big high tide followed by a negative tide.

So,
On the Excal sens, which is the most and which is the least? as the guy told me that 1 is max (knob turned to the right)

The key is hunting all you can & a WOT coil doesn't hurt either

I dont fancy soldering a new coil on! I have a Detech Excelarator II coil thats 12.5" i would love to put that on, but i dont want to knacker the excal up

Think of it as a clock 12 is about 1/2 way all the way to the right is minimum hunt it between 11 & 2 keeping it stable & avoid auto
