Excal II pod belt

New member
I assume this has been done but just in case...
$8.00 worth of supplies at HD and I had the belt already. This should take some weight off of my arm. AND I thought the GT was heavy!!!

You need to put some kind of stop on the coil wire where it goes into the pod. In Clive's book he put a loop in the cord and attached an elastic tether to it. What it all boils down to is you don't want to pull hard on the coil wire. Many people that hip mount see the wire fail inside the pod from it yanking too hard. Especially if you lose the rod in a wave.

good point. I suppose I should also do that to the phones.
