My Excal II is out of warranty so I've decided to have the Gray Ghost head phones installed.with connectors.Does anyone do this now that Minelab doesn't anymore. I will probably have connectors installed for changing coils also...
 
When I called and asked a few weeks back they said they no longer will do it. I think it is kinda ridiculous that if you buy their detector you are stuck with their coil and head phones when under warranty. I don't know of any other manufacturer that does this. :shrug:
 
I believe the sponsor at the top of this page may be able to help you(Mr. Bill). You may want to reconsider the waterproof coil connectors. There are more cons than pros for this mod but the grey ghosts are a good way to go....
 
Mr.Bill at Surfscanner's will install them. I may have a set for sale soon too, for $100 shipped CONUS. I have 3 sets now and only 2 Excals, LOL!
