Excal II hits Silver again 10-21-09

Excall II gives me one more Silver and $4.40 in change. This ring was among many pieces of melted aluminum. The ring was just a much better sound then the aluminum. about 4 inches deep. Gene
 
Nice silver ring! Looks like you've built up good rapport with the Excal. If I remember rightly, you said you chest mount your excal. I have only had a chance to use mine once, and on that occasion slung it diagonally across my chest. In about 2 weeks I hope to spend about 5 days near beaches. Just wondering if you mount yours the same way or somehow mount it parallel to the ground. Any advice you have would be handy Gene, as the Exca;l is a bit heavy for me to mount on the shaft. Thanks, and keep up the good hunting. I enjoy your posts.

Also just so you know the beach's of New Jersey are closed to metal detecting :lol:
