Excal II came through, Two Gold rings

G. Edwards

New member
Guy with 15" coil walked right over these 4 items. One10K white gold diamond ring, One 24K flexable ring, One Gold plated silver neck piece, and a 1959 three pence coin. It pays to go slow, He looked like he was trying to cover all the beach before anyone else. Oh well his loss, my gain. Gene

Hi Gene,
Patience and self control have their rewards! Nice finds!

Kind Regards,
Steve

Going slow has its advantages Gene.
You just proved that! Congrats.
Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

Oops, Sorry Gerry,

The Diamond ring was in the wet sand about 8 feet from the waters edge. It was 8 inches down. The 24K was in two feet of water, one scoop got it. The coin was in the wet sand and so was the neck piece, both at about 4 '' . Gene

Gene,
Do you reverse hunt or are you in disc? Thanks.

Best Regards,
Steve

ToniSteve,

I hunt in all metal then switch to disc. when I get a target to see if I want to dig. If I switch to disc. and get no sound responce I dig anyway. I have found some nice stuff that way. Gene

Gene,

Thanks for the response!

Best,
Steve

More great finds by the wizard!! Gene, I swear, for most of us this is a hobby that we get lucky at once in a blue moon but I do believe you have the midas touch. --Jerry

Hi Jerry,

I don't know what kind of touch I have, but these guys that go fast in fear I'll find something before they get it all, and have their coil four to five inches above the ground leave me the good stuff.
I just don't understand what manual they read when they got their detector. But as I said, leaves the good stuff for us slow pokes. Also I do get out everyday for about four to five hours. But thanks for the compliment, I'll try to keep it going. Gene
