Excal II and GT

Hi, I sent my Excal back for repairs, got it back about 2 weeks ago. So as to not be without a MD during that time I bought a new GT. The repair consisted of them replacing a circuit board.
Now I am starting to use the Excal again, and it seems the targets are not quite as strong as the GT. I keep the volume full on both machines, so I'm not sure if I just got more accustomed to the GT or did the Excal get quieter. Do the headphones have anything to do with this? I'd have to test further to see if I'm actually loosing performance.
What do you think?
Marc

Well you don't say what kind of headphones your using on the GT. But the short answer is yes. The Excalibur uses transducer type water proof speakers . Any other headphones would be better than them!
