Excal Gold Strike in Galveston!...............Come on down Max!

Huntress and I went for an evening spin on saturday night. We began at 630P into a 1107P 1.0L, with winds SE 15-20. We hunted 2 surf areas and I was running the Aquasearch. They both were pretty well sanded and I was just doing the PI gig, looking for real deep whispers. The left part of the nut at the coin line, represents the PI nut. Ended up with $.10 in clad and a non-ferrous toe ring. Then around 9P we went to our final destination and it was ripe for pickin'! The last area was very trashy, so we had to run the Excals in disc. It was not so bad though, with a clad count at $2.42, 14K band with flower designs around it and a nice 10K fine women's ring, with a nugget cluster on the face and nice little diamond in it (checked by CZeckpoint). Targets were in the mine deep for me, but Huntress has a nice story for ya'll as well. I'm just trying to keep up with the girl right now. She is making me sweat! We bailed at 215A and it was a very enjoyable outing for us both. We are planning an 8 hour hunt tomorrow AM-PM. GH

GH asked me to find out from ya'll jewelry genius's out there reguarding the makers mark on his latest ring. In the case of gold plate, would that not be after the karat stamp? In this case we have GP 10K, possibly indicating gold plumb 10K? The ring is gold through and through as I filed on the inner part and the diamond tested real. Tell us what ya'll think.

Haven't hunted the surf yet -
The beach is an hour away and they all close at 10pm..
Not Much for crowds
Excals works good in the surf ??

Maybe I'll try a Am low tide hunt - before the crowds
Any Pointers...Scoop, Weights, settings, etc...
What areas of the mine - (low spots in the surf - cuts in the sand??)

Again - Concrads! you guys earned it!!
I'm sure your 8 hours in the mine will produce again tommorow
Looking forward to your post...
