Excal comes through for me again...14kt white gold ring with nice stones....:minelab:

After spending Sunday morning with other Gold Coast Treasure Club members at our annual silver hunt and picnic, I had 42 silver dimes in my pocket, but I wasn't done yet. I hit a few local beaches and didn't give up until I landed this nice 14kt white gold ticket with my Excalibur:

Here's another view with better lighting. I took it to a jeweler to ID the stones. The top stone is tanzanite. The bottom stone is a black opal (I don't "get" how it is a BLACK opal, but that's what it is called. Check out that FIRE!) To the right are three tiny diamonds. And the best part: it fits me!

Here is another, similar shot:

I'm loving my Excal! This year is off to a good start for me! :wiggle:

Happy Hunting to all!

And I'm sure they will be steadily coming. I knew you would love the Excal if you got one in your hand and gave it a good chance. It's a whole different kind of machine than the CZ but once you get used to that threshold and those tones you almost feel naked if you go back to the old machine again. Is this thing ON????

Keep up the good work...congrats!

Black opals have the most fire although they are not black to the appearance. You have been finding some terrific finds.....Excal is the best!

Beautiful ring Stacey, Have you ever gone up to Cocoa Beach, if so do you know a good area to hunt there? planing on being there this weekend.

The beach and sandbar at low tide can be productive.

Long story...I was on my way today to do some preliminary research for a potential client when I decided to stop at McDonald's and actually sit down inside and eat. BIG mistake. That's something I hardly ever do. I was sitting there when it occurred to me that I shouldn't have my fake Prada bag sitting there on the edge of the table when I was so close to the door... and instead of MOVING it, which would have been the smart thing to do, I thought, I'll just keep my eye on it. BOOM! In the door rushes a long haired blond scraggly homeless looking dude with a baseball cap who grabbed my purse, turned around and tore out of there. He got my purse, my car keys, house keys, wallet, check book, driver's license, several bank ATM cards (business, personal and home equity line of credit), about 8 credit cards, gift cards from Christmas totaling $125, $104 in paper bills (I had JUST returned from the bank where I withdrew $100 cash) and a change purse full of change and a full SIM card from my cellphone, a 512M PNY Attache' travel disk with personal information and client records, my crappy cellphone, which I do not have insurance on, but it was under warranty and I was postponing calling to have it replaced, makeup, etc....Anyway, after me chasing him, screaming, opening the passenger side of his car and actually climbing in half way, :starwars: attempting to get my purse back (he sat on it so I couldn't get it from him), but finally climbing out of the car when I realized he would drag me if I didn't get out... he tore off and I screamed bloody murder :help: for help....a few people came up, one of which was a guy who was nice enough to loan me his phone and hang around past his lunch break - thank God he actually GOT THE TEMPORARY tag number of the beater car the criminal/crackhead drove! "My hero" was nice enough to help with the car description down to the year, make and model, not to mention color. (I was too flustered and upset to notice such details.) After the cop took down the info, he drove me home and a neighbor who had my key let me in my house. LUCKILY, a local church that functions as a homeless shelter had JUST left a message that they had my purse. One of their clients had returned my purse after finding it at a nearby gas station. I went there, retrieved my purse, MINUS my crappy cellphone, $106 or so in cash, my travel drive and lipstick. Got all my credit cards back and keys, etc. within an hour or so...(I promised to write a letter of commendation for the guy who found and returned my purse to help him with his job search and create a resume for him, as well as talk to the media about the homeless shelter as my way of thanking them...Bottom line - it was a BAD day, but I'm lucky I didn't get shot, stabbed or dragged trying to retrieve my purse! And I'm lucky that I got my house keys, car keys, credit cards, etc... back, although I am cancelling my cards, just to be safe...

What a nightmare... I know, Nikolay, I know - if I had taken you up on your offer to go treasure hunting, this wouldn't have happened.

I'm just glad I had removed my 10-diamond platinum ring from my change purse the day before!!!

(As an aside... I have a date set up for Saturday night with my "night in shining armor" who was so kind during the ordeal... although he is quite a bit younger than me!)

HH... and be safe.
