Excal Coil replacement help please

I have the blue excal with the blue headphones...it was not detecting due to a fualty coil so I bought the 10inch tornado coil ...

heres the problem ...i wired up the coil exactly like olbeechnuts photos and it only detects a pair of pliers from about 1 inch max....
Red wire to to TXB on circuit board
Black wire to TXA on circuit board
white wire to GND2 on circuit board
Yellow wire to RXA on circuit board

my old coil had 5 wires and the new coil only has 4 wires ....the old 10 inch coil had 1 more wire that was soldered to RXB on circuit board and now RXB is empty ...

Is there a special sequence to wire the new tornado coil to this model detector...whatever i did i couldnt get it to detect more than 1 inch...Note all the other functions work as they are supposed to even the discrimination mode works as it should...
Any tips or ideas would be of great help....thank you guys

Go to docsdetecting.com and click on Coiltek Coils. Go to the 15 inch WOT coil for the Excallibur. Now even though you are not wiring up the WOT coil it will give you the original wiring locations for the 10 inch Tornado. Hope this helps. Good luck. If that does not give you the information you need get with OBN or errik. I'm sure there are others that can help you as well. HH :minelab:
