Anybody have any thing good or bad to say about Excal battery pods (alkaline)? Looking at buying one and need info good and bad. Also, Who has the best deal on them right now?

I use one as a backup for my EXCAL and it works just fine. Get around 15hrs. + - from it using Rayovac, Panasonic, or whatever Shoprite has on sale. As for buying one, mine came with the machine from Ron's, I see them on E-Bay for about $50.00. Hope this helps. HH Chet.

Joe,

I just ordered your excal 1000 battery pod (alkaline) Have one other question,

I am heading to Puerto Rico at Christmas time and I will be hunting in the water as well as wet sand. Which one of your break down (traveling scoops is the best in your opinion (best durability and made rugged to take some abuse)????
Please let me know if you did not receive the order,

Thanks,

Gary Abrams

One nut and bolt through it, did that after the first time my battery died at the beach- you may want to ask JOE about a cap because you must keep it dry at the terminals. great idea to keep one
