Hi,
I know you are supposed set the threshold to as low as possible. You want to hear a very faint sound and a slight change can mean it past over something.
The manual even states set it too high or too low you lose the faint signals. It has to be just right.
When the excal goes over iron, it nulls then returns with the beautiful door buzzer
My questions why does it always return with threshold so loud? If you can, I don't know how you could, leave that as the new threshold would you not be losing the ability to notice deep items?
I use my scoop to return it to the "original" threshold which is much lower.
How do you know what is too high to too low for the threshold?
So I turn on my unit and set the threshold, If it goes over iron and the new (terrible) threshold is set loud and I turn it down and keep that as my new level.
If I scan my scoop and return to the original "good" threshold sound I can no longer hear the threshold.
Hopefully I explain this right - thanks
