I'm putting a (blessed) set of MGM's on a new machine and was surprised to see a third wire with partial braid on it terminating at the board. Anyone know what I should do with this?
I'm very grateful to have this forum to ask questions on ---like to think I've fielded a few (correctly?) myself.

Even ML didnt know....they believe its for emi. Which makes. No sense because it goes no where in the phones....basicly making it an antenna. Like joe said cut it.... ive had no probem having done that.

You figure it should be grounded to the outside shielding so it would work best. I have cut many and only had one person say that they noticed a difference for the bad. A hunter in Jersey that hunted AC, which does have a tone of EMI.
