Excal 1000 HELP

braich77

New member
I just replaced the old batteries to new ones for my Excal 1000 and after an hour detecting shallow underwater I start hearing a Beep sound every 30 seconds and this strange beep coming from the box not headphones. Is that normal with new batteries?
thank you

New batteries come uncharged or with very little, i suppose you charged them before use. Also they will take a few charges to reach full capacity, having said that they should last longer than an hour, i hope you got the right ones and got the 12v not the 9.6v ones, for all they have higher mah i'm sceptical as to thier duration.
I can't understand why the beep is comming from the box and not the headphones, maybe it just appears that way underwater, to my knowledge there is no speaker in there to beep.
