I have aqn oppurtunith to buy a 5 year old Excal 1000 for $400.00. Is this a good deal?

:)

Great Price , make sure it works....Joe

Ask him if you can dunk it under water in a bath tub for several minutes to make sure it still was waterproof and worked. If it passes the test then that's a heck of a deal. An Excalibur is just a Sovereign, which is as good or better than the best machines on the market. You can buy older Sovereign models for somewhere in the $300 to $400 range, but what you are paying for on an Excalibur is all the waterproof hardware.
