With all this talk of about the AT Pro, just wanted to share a nice find I made with my GTI 2500 a few years ago. It was found near an old railroad bed (yes, lots of iron around) under an old tree root at about 9" inches with the stock coil. Imaged between "B" and "C" size, and sure looked like a run of the mill old flat button when it came out of the ground. Tossed it in the treasure pouch, and didn't discover what it was until I got home later that evening...a very nice George Washington inaugural button with full shank intact. Those who think Garrett machines are just tot lots just don't understand.
My only issue with the GTI 2500 is the weight...which is why I swing a nice light Tek Omega now too. I still use the GTI for shorter hunts, but that AT Pro sure looks enticing. The waterproof package, weight, price point and performance combination would suit me just fine...maybe this spring!
