EX-2 low volume without headphones

dirt doctor

Well-known member
I've had a used Explorer 2 for over a year now and when the headphones are on it works fine and I can get all the volume I want . I can't ever remember turning it on without the headphones on . I did recently while checking on a setting and it is so low that it would be impossible to hunt with outdoors without headphones . Obviously something must not be right .
Is an Explorer normally as loud without phones , as say an X-Terra ?
Has anyone else experienced this ? Can I just keep on hunting just with headphones on or should I be expecting to lose all my audio soon ?
Would this be a costly repair ?
Thanks ,

Thanks for your input Nick . I've decided that being as it's working fine otherwise and I'm not going to sell it I'm going to use it as is unless something else goes wrong then I'll send it in . I couldn't see using it without headphones anyway .
