Everybody must be out looking for the goodies

It's rained 9 straight days here and in between the rain I've spent the last four days tearing down a two story playhouse I built my youngest daughter about 20 years ago. Hot, humid and hard work. Did find something, it was hidden in a corner and jumped out when I took a brace out. Biggest one I've ever seen here, just about 5 inches across it's longest legs<img src="http://personalpages.bellsouth.net/j/b/jbms12/Gifs/astonish.gif">.

Don't know the scientific name John. They're very common here and have always just been called field spiders. What's uncommon about that one is the size, a big one usually only gets a 60-70% as big. I've been bitten by them quite a few times since I was a kid so evidently they aren't posionious.
