Ever wonder what a Bulgarian Pirate looks like???

The Bulgarian, Jim, and I went to Ft. Lauderdale last weekend. We didn't have much luck, but we still had fun. The Bulgarian liked this Pirate Wench... a lot....

But she gave him the cold shoulder ...

So, he gave up and started making friends with another pirate...

I was hoping to meet Johnny Depp (AKA Jack Sparrow), but he wasn't there. So, I found another pirate to hang out with...

So, the day wasn't a total loss!

real comfortable in the water and they stay on well. If they happen to fall off, they float to the top. Croakies makes a similar sandal but I don't know if the have the little holes on the sides.

They are feather light plastic material that stands up to a beating. I am very tough on shoes and sandals and these have held up very well. Birkenstock makes an excellent quality, and long lasting sandal/shoe. No blisters or sore spots from wearing these continuously for 8 days of hunting while in Virginia Beach last year, and then I wore them for my beach hunts until October at home without any problems at all.

Here is a link to the type that I have. Notice the little port holes on the sides.....the sand drains through there when you are walking in them.

The strap between the toes is comfortable? I wouldn't think, by looking at them, that they would stay on the feet in the wet sand or in the water. How are they if you are IN the water?

I might order a pair.

Thanks.

I thought the strap between the toes would blister.........nope, no problem at all, it is very smooth and does not cause any abraisions. I have a bum left leg and these are the best I have ever worn.

Thanks, and nice pics. Its nice to put a face on whose out here. Maybe we'll meet some day on the coast.
