I was hunting with my partner lately and he gave me a tip i really like. Y'all may have already heard of this and been using it but, i like it and thought i'd pass it on. Basically if you're hunting (and we are strictly CW relic hunters), and you have a target that has a good tone followed by an iron tone, or vice versus...cut the top of the soil off and scan over again. I was amazed at how this has changed target tones for me. The good target becomes much clearer and louder, almost as if it stands alone then. Not sure if i explained this well enough but, if i need to try again i'll be glad to. for example, square nail next to a enfield bullet. To me the square nail somewhat drowns out the good target. But, after cutting the top off, i can differntiate easier and have a better idea where the good target is. hope that clears it up a bit more. Let me know what you guys think. thanks

That's what I do if I get an iffy signal, signal starts off iffy dig a bit out and sinal changes to good I dig, if it stays iffy I leave it.

Hi Nbforrest thats called a Iffy signal, if you will cut your plug in a U shape just like
you would normally do and flip it back so the sod is not in your way then remove the
top 3" of soil, then stomp your foot next too the hole then rescan the hole you will
most likely notice a big difference in the VID number & signal sound
