that live in small towns always complain that there's nothing to do around here and then when they grow up they find out there ain't much to do anyway.

same with small town leaders, their always trying to attract industry to their town, create jobs etc.,boost the tax base.

they want people to move there and revitalize their towns, but there's a catch, they plan on being the people running the town when it grows.they want it to grow but they don't want it to change.

they don't realize growth brings change, sometimes you don't realize how good you've got it until it's gone.

i lived in the city most of my life and i think a town of 50,000 is just about right although i don't mind smaller towns,it's just in smaller towns everybody wants to know your business.in bigger towns your not of any consequence.i think when a city gets over about 300,000 it starts to get to big and unmanageable.

And most of the kids are too busy helping their folks on the farm, they have little time to complain.. :)

that's what usually causes complaining is boredom.i know when i finally got my grocery store job when i was 15 i didn't get nearly as bored and it got me away from the folks, which i think is good.

of course with only 350 people their a little bit more isolated.do high school aged boys work for bigger farms during the year?

i hauled hay some, but not much to speak of.i did pick okra for 3 summers, but that only lasted for about 6 weeks before the plants give out.
