From the land of the Bluenose....well when a Canuck says skate the only thing they think of is a pair of skates laced on to a hockey player.
Shown here is my daughter picking up the poor bugger who got washed a shore. Hear the flippers are good eating! Don't think one could glide across the ice wearing a pair of these skates!

While doing some diving and detecting in Florida's Treasure Coast I swam over the top of a reef and landed on my knees in the sand on the other side. There was a Ray buried in the sand I didn't see and my left knee landed on it and it scooted off in a flash. Sure gave me a start.
