Absolutely. I think it happens to all of us, at one point or another. For me, it was a Tesoro Golden, Garrett GTP 1350 and a Fisher 1266X. The first two I've replaced, a couple of times now, but the Fisher I probably never will.

Im planning now to sell or trade my Vaquero, and will probably regret that move, somewhere down the line. SO it goes...

Read the forums,i have parted with detectors i wish i still had.I had a rare detector made by Tesoro that went to the pawn shop. But look at it this way,you had a chance to use it,now you know, and there well be a updated version soon anyway and maybe you could get that one.Use what you got,it will make you forget about the other one like an old girl friend man.Start making good finds with the one you got and it will all be good. The way i see it if a person has more than one detector the other is being neglected!.

Dean i hope not after a few go arounds she went for good.:nopity:

To clarify i did get a replacement of the same machine .

With same 3 coils and very close on the production batch run

I have got rid of metal detectors with regret. The Hype too often doesn't have anything to do with performance.HH Ron

Then there's those times that it works just the other way to.---Say-a new detector comes out & I absolutely can't live without it (hey, I've done ALL my research & listened to ALL the hype).--So I trade ole faithful in and get this "best in the west" jobber.--Now I do miss "ole faithful"--so I go out on the market & buy her clone.---Shock, shock--ole faithful isn't nearly as sharp (good) as I remembered!!--Kinda got used of the best in the west by that time I guess.--So now I sell ole faithful, keep best in the west & live happily ever after (till the next "can't live without it tector comes out, that is).---I'm VERY SICK (think alot of us are)!! But ain't we havein fun!!! --------Del

Well, I never even used the CZ, so I don't know how good it is. I went on a detector buying spree
for about a month, with little time to use them. I think Del will also be getting a good one from
me sometime today.
