Euro Sabre ... better than Silver Sabre ??

Willee - Texas

Well-known member
Why is the Euro Sabre considered to be better than the Silver Sabre?

I assume the Euro Sabre was made for the European market.

Would Tesoro make a better detector and then not sell it in the USA?

I have now for a short time Euro Sabre 2. It has friendly audio, low tone for iron and high tone for nonferrous. In moderate soil it takes quarter size coin at 10 inches, wheat penny at 8 inches, I mean signal to dig. But still I am learning.

I had one and I didn't think depth was any deeper than the Silver Sabre Umax or the Cibola.
And I tried several different coils on it. In Southern mineralized soil doesn't it fair any better. I was not impressed
with all the hype.

Attached is a link to dealer offering Euro Sabre 2.

Somewhere in the middle is a depth table, it is measured in cm and coin diametre is in mm. Table is true, I checked myself before buying. I think you might understand at least this table, here language doesnot matter.

My only experience with Tesoro is that before I compared Musky (7

Euro Sabre is somehow similar to Eldorado and is deeper than Silver uMAX, but not as deep as Cibola.

Tesoro Detector EuroSabre II is probably the last new company Tesoro in 2009. The detector has three modes discriminatory, accurate tuning of the soil and very low weight.
Tesoro EuroSabre II is the successor of the original EuroSabre. The detector has improved the behavior and the motherboard has undergone changes that vyplinuly to use the original version. The detector is designed primarily for European job seekers with regard to certain specific problems detektor

Sven, I appreciate your patience with ES2 translation. I am just trying to say, that to get quarter size coin at 10 inches with 9x8 coil (tresh to max and sens to 10) is not bad comparing to other Tesoros. Of course at badly mineralized soil this depth is nonsense.

No problem, I enjoyed visiting the entire website, very nice.
I agree, depth wise it's average for most of the Tesoro models. The Euro is specially made for European soil conditions
were it makes an excellent detector as the other Tesoro's do.
Hunting with Threshold at max and Sensitivity at 10 will increase depth. I have hunted with my Cibola a few times adjusted that way to get some extra depth.

It's too bad Tesoro does not offer the Euro here, I'm sure many would buy one and the US prices would be cheaper.
But, it may distract guys here from buying the other Tesoro models that are similar and the fact that Euros would probably cheaper
for Europeans to buy directly from the US than from European dealers. The European dealers would not like that. I am sure your
goverments add on high import and customs duty taxes to everything that is imported into the European countries. Which also result
in higher prices.

Yes, its very expensive toy here. Price might be the same as Vaquero is. See the price
