Had a great day Saturday it started when hitting a location we've been over a lot. The difference was it rained hard the night before and the sandy soil was wet. First ten minutes got us this:

Got my pulse going but it turned out to be plated!

But we spent the next hour and a half in one big hole:

That's about halfway into digging it. This is about when I ran out of signals and switched over to hunting in pinpoint mode. Then the deeper targets showed up. We went down to about 14" and dug all this out:

Those were the interesting bits, there was lots of small pieces of unidentifiable bits of iron. But best of all was the following:

There was also a bunch of leather suspender components albeit minus most of the leather.

Anyone with any ideas what the large brass piece with the blue stone is? Ideas are welcome, we're still scratching our heads.

Sailorman,
That there be one fine day of diggin up treasure !!
All in one area...Sweet !!!

BEAUTIFUL AND EXCITING:clapping:

I also got Excited about your Ring until I saw The Dreaded "PLATED"

I Am Not Sure What The Beautiful Item With The Blue Stone is But It Appears
to Have Hung From Something Given The Loop On Top

You mentioned Sand but there were Tree's in the photo?!

It looked like Fun for you and your Partner, was she using the Probe and you the ET?!

Is Pin Point Mode TTF?

Major Congrats Again On A Wonderful Hunt And Recovery

Down here we have lots of sand, even inland in wooded areas. By hunting in pin point I mean literally hitting the pin point button and then swinging instead of just using it to locate. It will hit targets so deep in this area you get no target ID but you know something is there. My deepest hit this way was a measured 16" so far. I use it in areas where I think there's something deeper than normal detecting. Works great on the.beach as well. Maybe it's a sand thing but with the volume up on good headphones it's working for me.

Next time we get a good soaking rain we're headed back there!

Interesting finds, sorry the ring was only plated, but nice none the less. Got to love finding neat old stuff and trying to figure out what it is and how old it is. Congrats.

Nice finds !!!!

Nice finds, looks like you hit someone's old trashpit........NGE

BRILLIANT

When you mentioned Pin Point Mode and then described what it was..INSPIRATION

I never went the next step but often wondered why Pin Point Mode was not an option

It will be my option in my future detecting

Thanks and HH
