etrac vs safari

I've always heard its the other way around :poke: Is the Safari as deep as the Etrac/ Explorer series.

Well I can only base depth on what I have. I know my safari will get dimes at around 8 inches, halves at about 10 or 11 ( with soil conditions where I hunt)so if it goes as deep with better target identification may cry over my paycheck for awhile and buy one

the Etrac's have faster processor and give you more info ... deep is also relative to coil size

Well I shall soon find out. Pay for my etrac tomorrow. But used with a bit of warranty off this forum...so hope it's what I want lol

etrac is alot better than safari..i had the safari and now have the etrac..way better id and alot faster processing..i could not stand the safari..just my opinion...

I found some good stuff with my safari. It was alot better then the pioneer I had before lol. But I am paying for me etrac tomorrow so we will soon find out lol. Detectors are like cars.... some just arnt a fit for some but still a perfect fit for others. We shall see if my brain is good enough to learn the etrac or if it's mush and I have spent to long in the metallurgy lab lol

I used safari and sold it! Safari and Etrac is about the same for deep coins but you digging more on safari! Etrac is better for nickels and pull tabs! Etrac is more accurate about what is below the ground. Safari will tell you something below ground and you have to dig to get nickel or pull tabs.

I've used both Machines..... Both with the stock coils...... I never saw a depth advantage between the to..... they both go plenty Deeeeeep.....The Etrac is got all the bells and whistle's & Back light .......But on the other side of the coin The Safari weighs almost 1 pound less.

If they have the same coil then they weigh almost the same , the ET control box is very slightly larger and the ET is better balanced because of the better angle of the hand grip . . Effectively they are the same weight bar the odd gram to two.
I have the ET and the Explorer 11 with Pro coil and that weighs the same as a Safari.
Both are better than the Safari because of patterns , settings and that gives them the edge . Depth is about the same however.
