Etrac VS. Safari....recovery speed

I am considering a "saltwater beach" machine. The minilabs have been recommended. I'm thinking about the Safari or Etrac. My main concern with the Safari is the reported slow recovery speed. Is the Etrac really that much faster than the Safari? The same?

They are pretty much the same . All FBS are about the same .
They are slow because they are so powerful , if they were single freq machines they would put the Deus in the shade .
These machines have to be slow so they can operate in the salt . Just use them slow , recovery on the beach is not important as on land unless you have lots of Iron .
Just set it up right then all should be fine .
I have programs i use on beaches . Do not use the preset programs on the ET , they are for Learners and are pretty lame .

I recommend the E.Trac over the Safari . Far better settings and much better target info . If you are going in the water then either buy a machine like the 17 freq Excalibur or buy the waterproof to 10 feet CTX , like the ET but waterproof and has other functions that i dont think are needed "GPS and stuff". Price is much higher though.

NO other normal detector can match the ET type on the normal beach or wet beach . The only other types to consider are the P.I. machines that find all with no discrimination .

Back on here tomorrow night UK time.

Tell me what sort of beach you are doing ? and what rubbish you think you will find.

I hunt the beach a lot!! Just out today and from my experience
The Etrac is a awesome beach detector I have great luck with it
Better than any other detector I've owned!

I'll be hunting southeastern beaches. Myrtle, Virginia, Fla. etc. Rubbish? Of course, looking for jewelry and with that will come clad coins..who knows what else it might yield?
I've been to Myrtle twice, but with my AT Pro and it's not really made for the saltwater.

Get rid of the AT Pro . Buy the ET and if you have spare cash buy a dry beach machine like the Terra 705 or similar . Or keep the AT for the dry , spare.
The ET will kill the competition .

Dont forget i have programs for the ET that work.

I did not even know that about the Safari . Would not get one at that price without one .
In any case the ET is far better .
