I am talking to the people new to the ETrac, or if you just want some reference material for your ETrac.....
If you are new to an ETrac, and you came from a detector with no TDI display or a 1-99 TDI display detector, the ETrac can be confusing with the FE-CO numbers.
I made a 'Target Card' on Excel as a reference to help get anyone used to the ETrac's TDI, and refer to what numbers come up and what they could be. If you read Andy Sabisch's book 'The Minelab Explorer and E-Trac Handbook', you will see some charts and references to the FE-CO numbers and what they could be.
I took those numbers and put them on a spreadsheet on Excel in the three basic categories.... Jewelry, Coins, and Relics.
What is nice is you can add/delete targets and numbers in each category that you want to fit your chart and where you hunt... personalize it... to what you commonly find, or what you are looking for... from junk to treasure!
You can also print it out and laminate it, or as I did, cover it in clear packing tape, front and back, and then cut it out leaving a 1/4" clear border around it to keep it sealed.
I just thought I would post it and hope some one might like it and it's something you can use. After using the ETrac for a while you will start to memorize the numbers or at least what they are consistant or can be.
Please remember that the FE-CO numbers on the chart are not exact. Your ETrac might be be a digit off or a target number might change a little depending on your settings. The chart is just a guide, plain and simple.
If you have an ETrac and have not got And Sabisch's book, you should. I am not trying to plug or advertise, but if you have an ETrac, that book has a wealth of info in it. 6 months into my ETrac, when I browse his book, I still learn something.
I uploaded a pic of the Target Card and if you want the Excel spreadsheet, shoot me an Email at govidgo@yahoo.com , and I'll send it to you. Excel files can not be uploaded/downloaded here.
