Etrac speaker

So I received my new etrac about two years ago and the 2nd time I used it I saw smoke coming out of the machine. My speaker burned up..
It was under warranty but 99% of the time I hunt with headphones so I said to heck with sending it back for repair..
Now I have been hunting in the thick brush pulling CW relics and the head phones are a pain. Does any one know the size of the speaker I need to try to buy to do the replacement myself? I assume I could buy one at radio shack.
I don't want to pay for what should be a fairly easy fix.
I should have sent it in while it was under warranty but I figured the shipping would cost more In could fix it for..

I HATE THE WAY THE KOSS HEADPHONES FIT MY HEAD,SO I GOT A PAIR OF AVIEO WIRELESS EAR BUDS FROM RADIO SHACK $25.00 THEY WORK GREAT,AND IF YOU WANT WIRED I PICKED UP A PAIR FOR WHITES DETECTORS THAT FIT VERY GOOD,I DON'T THINK I WOULD MESS WITH CHANGING THE SPEAKER YOU MAY MAKE THINGS WORSE COULD BE SOMETHING ELSE GOING ON FOR THE SPEAKER TO BURN

Call Minelab if it was their fault they will fix it. Call is free 1-877-767-6522. I think the warranty is for 2 years. HH :minelab:

Very cool! I was thinking it was a one year warranty. I will give them a call. Yes the wireless headphones are going to be bought soon also.

She is in the shop as we speak .:stretcher: I swear I thought it was ought of warranty but I still have a year left. Minelab called two days ago and said it would take about two weeks for repair. I am happy with that and I have a sovereign for a back up machine so I am good to go. :beers:
