Found my first barber half! Pretty stoked. Found at an old home about 4 inches. Sounded like a silver dime.I was shocked when Mr barber said hello.

That is awesome! Congrats on the half and the rest of your haul! Good luck hunting the rest of that property.

Very nice. Still waiting on my first. Congrats.

Congratulations! Thanks for the picture.

That was a lot of money that someone lost back then! Imagine losing that when a dollar bought a lot. Today, 50 cents can't even get you a cup of coffee. But that silver coin even today can and then some! A whole days worth of food or more. Just goes to show the folly of the destruction of the currency (clads and paper money).

Congratulations on that find.

Wow!! What a nice surprise! I am still waiting on a Barber half (and will probably fall over the first one I find).

Good luck in the rest of the yard! I hope you find some more Barbers to go with the half.

Very cool! The first silver coin I ever found was a Barber half (along with a dateless SLQ in the same hole); haven't found one since--that was 30+ years ago. Congrats on a hard coin to find.

Outstanding find !

A Barber Half is at or very near to the top of my - want to find list - a big congrats on finding yours !
