Third time out with the Etrac. Very pleased with what this can do. Stumbled upon an old fair ground at the libray a few years back and finally got a chance to checke it out. The the 1st couple hours my hunting buddy snagged a very nice seated quarter and that was all we found. at first we thought it might have been luck since we had not hit anything else. we decided to take a break and then see if we could get permission to work the field next to the one we were in. While getting ready to start the new field, an older gentleman stopped and asked what we were looking for and we told him old stuff and coins. He started telling he had told about the fairground when he was young and that it was in the field we had left. So we went back and decided to work it again except try to pattern it out and work real slow. after about 10 minutes, I hit the 1853 half dime. By buddy found 2 seated dimes in about 10 minutes. Then I picked up my 1st indian right on the surface. Then I hit the 1877 seated dime. Then I started hitting indians. Unfortunatley the ground is harsh to the indians, but the dates I could make out were 1864, 1865, 1865, 1866, 1867. The other 3 were in really bad shape. also managed a partial token and a V nickel that i am trying to get a date off of. Over all we managed 6 seateds, 10 injuns, v nickel, token, token. really hard hunting since it is a corn stubble field, but very pleased with the etrac and the half dime was a 1st for me. sorry for the crappy pics, but the ground is really hard the coins there.

dude that is freaking amazing!! great job on your research, pays off!:clapping::please:

Thanks. I am hoping they put beans in this year and then I can really work the field in the fall. All the coins came out of an are that was probably 100 x 50 feet. The field we are in is 50 acre, I would really like to be able to work the first half of the field without the corn stalks.
