New member
hi you guys i have a sad story to tell in october last year i purchased a deus and have spent time trying to make it work for me but it just doesnt cut the mustard so today i have sold it and feel sooooo relieved
ok back to my beloved ETRAC i just have so much to catch up i have used 2TF for the time i have had it and reckon i am experienced enough to move on i want to try conductive multi tones MAYBE to see if i can understand what the etrac is telling me ok guys maybe muti tone may be too much as i am tone deaf but has anyone out there got a rock solid programe please so i would want to know what you discrim out and all the other settings please right the way through and sooo sorry i dont download so will enter manually THANKS IN ADVANCE to all you guys i am defo fully behind the etrac 200 per cent so any help will be sooooo appreciated

Hey Sugar. Glad to see you back. Now we have our 2 gals (that I know of) back on the forum. You and Eva are the only 2 gals I'm aware of on here.

Can't really help you on the program. I will say if you take the time to plant a coin garden in your yard (if you haven't already). Start playing with the different tones and see what works for you. I will say that you'll need to adjust your "THRESHOLD PITCH". The manual states a LOWER threshold pitch might benefit people with hearing difficulties.

Take care and let us know what you unearth.

hi nebtrac are you still about hehehehe yep i have a coin garden i have had it set since october so yes that is a great place for me to start using the different tones and i am really looking forwards to it
i hope your life is good and that the etrac is working well for you no new innovations then whilst i have been away
is everyone still on conductive tones OR WHAT ????

I'm a conductive tone user for sure. I've tried TTF but it just isn't practical in my hunting environment. Way too much trash and the targets are too deep. I'd go nuts if all targets were only low or mid-tone.

yeh well thats women for you we can talk the hind legs off a donkey butttttt has anyone got any top programs please

Interesting to hear Sugar, everyone here has bought a deus but I stick to my e-trac. what was your specific experience with the deus? Went by hammered coins and tiny bits ? My finds is not behind the deus army so far, even better than some of them.

the lightness of the deus is fab cant say it isnt ok in england we get hot rocks the etrac ignores them and the deus finds them so i tried to notch them out as noone wants to keep digging them it can be very annoying tried all programes and this is my findings out of every ten targets nine of them could be pinpointed with my garratt pro pointer from the surface telling me that it was very shallow never in all the time i had it did i get a deep target even with the big coil
now all the deus owners say it can be tweeked to get extra depth but never seen any of these great programes so just wonder what i am missing by swinging the deus
in the end i thought you know i just might as well take my etrac out and will i regret it i dont know cos today i was digging them BIG DEEP HOLES AGAIN hehehe

Youre not the only one getting back to e-trac after a short deus romance, the hype is huge and fools people to by this thing. I did a test recently, found a fairly deep signal, weak but diggable signal,e-trac picked it up ok with the first swing but the deus didnt find it no matter what programs and setting he used. I dug it and a little silver paper bit came up. Now the deus found it LOL.. E-trac rocks for sure ! And with TTF you can swing pretty fast.

I have the Deus and really like it, but I never left the E-Trac. I still use my E-Trac most of time (over 75%) and it is still my 1st love (don't tell my wife). I bought my Deus for very specific types of hunts/conditions, i.e., really really trashy areas and relic hunting, which I think it does a fantastic job in. The rest of the time I use my E-Trac. Due to my physical limitations, I will switch to the Deus on long hunts because it is so light, which enables me to continue swinging or else I would just have to call it quits for the day.
