Etrac Recovery ?

I am not using recovery fast right now. But reading andys book it said it can change the target id accuracy? how many of u run this and does it effect target ids?

don't know about it changing the ID but I usually run deep on and fast off. I did read not to have both on at the same time ... one or the other

100% of the time I run fast ON and deep OFF. It does not affect ID on targets at all. Now I feel the deep ON affects ID numbers quite a bit in my experience using it. I run my volume gain at 29 so it amplifies deep targets without messing with the ID

Amen to that!

I do the same. I never have problems with target ID infact the Etrac is exceptional at it.

With that said a detector is only as good as the one using it.

What goes said in most instances BUT ( I have to differ in some locations) On beaches or areas where targets are deep and not much trash is about then try it the other way Deep on and Fast off. Ive gotten some pretty deep targets that way. In fact I have one old baseball field that has not been used since like 1950. there is not much trash there now but the coins are deep due to the weeds and farming over 60 years. I hunt that one with deep on and will also use fast on if Im where more junk used to be.

good luck.
