Etrac in Virgina

Member
Has anyone tried the Etrac relic hunting in Virgina's bad ground ? Did you have any success ? If so , how did have it set up ? Thanks

Bad ground is VERY hard for any machine. The multi- frequency of the Minelabs do much better than most. Its hard to guess as every situation is different.

I live in the southwestern Virginia area. I have both the red clay and darker areas of dirt to contend with. The Etrac does a good job for me. The more you use the machine the more it will do for you.

I live in Sterling Va and have hunted in both of the areas that you mentioned and in Culpeper. The E-Trac did very well. It's get difficult sometimes to run high manual sens, so I ran in Auto + 3 most of the time. Other then that, really did not play with the settings to much.
