Hello E-tracland
This past weekend I hit gold two days in a row. First time I've ever done that. I've been hunting an area that has produced an LC and a couple of silver dimes for me. The 1949 class ring is 10k and it hit at 12-17. I think it's the first 12-17 I've ever dug that wasn't a pull tab. I'd only ever seen a non-pulltab 12-17 once before, when some guy asked me if the etrac would detect his wedding band. Most of the rings I've dug have been closer to nickel signals. The 14k cufflink was 12-06, very deep. One thing that was very noticeable with these two targets is that they gave a much fuller, punchier signal than an aluminum target that has the same numerical readings. But I still dig a lot of pulltabs anyway, just in case. I found the camp fire girls buckle yesterday in a different area. I'm sure it's fabulously valuable but I can't find one for sale on ebay or elsewhere, so just how valuable is conjectural at this time. It's solid brass, rang up at 12-40.
