Etrac Highest Conductive numbers

Do any of you get a number higher than 47 on anything but Trash. I was hunting the other day and kept getting a lot of 20-49 and 20-50. I was thinking of Discriminating these out. What few silvers I have dug hit no higher than 47 and one was 46. Advice please!!

If you got several of these type hits I would certainly dig one to see what it is. I will guarantee you 100% they are not coins though...
You can drive the CO side high with multiple coins but not the FE side.

I dug a cartwheel penny on the beach that was less than 4" down and it came in as 50 conductive. I think maybe 01:50 or something. I'll have to watch the video again but I know it was 50 conductive

I've never heard of a "cartwheel penny" so I looked it up. Wow that's a huge penny! No wonder it was so high. I wish I had beaches around here that weren't choked with cattails and muck...the depth guys get in the sand is unreal! A place with high possibilities of gold and so easy to dig...so easy to lose something in the water or loose sand....the scenery...makes me wanna book a trip SOON!
O.K. back to reality...

Is that a US coin. Never heard of it myself.

I have retrieved several silver rings at 48-49 conductive. They will usually give you that nice silver tone too.

Yes. Thank you for replying. I haven't had time to come back and comment. I've found 7 of them here in canada. All have given silver numbers.

I would expire immediately if I dug up a 1700s coin. THAT kind of thing is why I'm an "old coin snob". Really old coins are just little pieces of artwork, most of today's coins just don't have that appeal. Thanks for posting that pic ACE...

Not a problem dude. I primarily dig cellar holes and colonial fields, so the 1700's coins are there...just gotta find them. If you're interested, here's a link to my youtube channel.
